The Beechcraft King Air F90 was introduced in 1978 as a performance-enhanced hybrid, combining the C90 fuselage with the T-tail and wing design of the King Air 200. Powered by twin Pratt & Whitney PT6A-135 engines producing 750 shp each, the F90 cruises around 265 knots and offers a range near 1,300 nautical miles. This unique configuration delivers the climb and cruise performance of a larger King Air while maintaining the compact, efficient cabin of the C90.
Only ~200 F90s were built, making it a prized model among King Air enthusiasts. It retains the rugged reliability, easy handling, and proven design of its predecessors while introducing improved stability and performance.
