The Beechcraft King Air 300 represents a major leap forward in the evolution of the King Air line, taking the familiar Model 200 airframe and equipping it with more powerful Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A engines producing 1,050 shp each. The result is a higher cruise speed—around 310 knots true—and improved climb performance while maintaining the same rugged structure and forgiving handling that define the King Air legacy.
Certified in 1984, the 300 was designed for operators needing more payload and faster cruise without stepping into jet territory. It retains the 16,500-lb maximum takeoff weight of the Super King Air 200 but boasts enhanced systems, upgraded pressurization, and improved propeller design. Whether used for corporate transport, air ambulance, or special mission operations, the King Air 300 delivers turbine efficiency, comfort, and reliability in a package trusted worldwide.
The original version featuring PT6A-60A engines, upgraded wing structure, and improved pressurization over the 200 series. Capable of 310 KTAS and known for its climb and hot-high performance.
An extended variant with a longer wingspan, higher gross weight (14,000 lbs), and quieter operation. It carries up to 11 passengers and remains in production as the King Air 350 series.
A lightweight variant certified below 12,500 lbs for reduced regulatory requirements while maintaining the same performance envelope as the standard 300.
